Pop Divas Pop Divas. My full name is Eleanor Hughes, but every calls me Ele :) I'm 23 years old from Chelmsford in Essex. I have always had a strong passion for singing.  I love solo gigging at venues such as "The Wheatsheef" in Hatfield Peverel, "The Sportsmans Arms" in Nounsley, "The Royal Tiger" in Rettendon and "Hatfield Peverel village hall social club". I am also taking part in Showcases for the event companies "Parti-Parti" and "Cool-Note Entertainment". I have recently just completed studying on The National Diploma in popular music @ Colchester Institute. I like to sing a variety of different genres of songs, as i have quite an adaptable voice. When gigging i sing covers such as "Duffy's Warwich Avenue", "Shania Twain's Man i feel like a women", "Luther Vandross-Dance with my father", and "Anastacia-Not that kind". I also like to sing the good old classics such as "Tina Turners, Simply the best". I love to belt out power ballads such as "Oleta Adams-Get Here" and "Alexandra Burke's Hallelujah".

Swing

Simon & Steve sing swing. Simon has been the bass player for many bands over the years, and finally got his big break into singing when in “TAXI 4 DAVE” band split, a short interlude preceded, and then bang like a whirlwind he hit the Horse and groom, for a charity evening, and the rest is history, playing at venues like a gypsy wedding, a pub in Brentwood and his mums BBQ the sky’s the limit for this star.
Stephen sings songs from many genres but specialises in Rat Pack and Swing.  His warm voice encompasses the ‘feel’ of those golden days, his personality endears him to his audience who are left feeling that they have experienced a very special vocalist.  His act captures a blend of vintage and modern Swing.  Many have said a mixture of Sinatra and Buble.
Although his niche is Swing, his versatility is clear when you inspect his repertoire.  He sings favourites from the 60’s through to modern day, including some songs from Musical Theatre and Vegas from such artists as Elvis, Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond etc.
Stephen was fortunate enough to have sung before Royalty and European VIP’s, at numerous Weddings, Corporate Events, Masonic Functions, Charity Balls, Theatre Shows, as well as several top Hotels and Restaurants within the UK.
Based in Essex, the majority of his bookings are in London and the South East but he travels to all parts of the UK and Europe.
For a great Fun night with plenty of audience participation book onto “Sounds of Swing”
