Always excellent food, great friendly English pub atmosphere. Had Sunday lunch for 14 of us, Kerry & Geoff always very accomodating! You will not go hungry here! Highly recommended.The Elvis night is a good night out too!

A truly perfect example of what an english country pub should be. A great friendly atmosphere, fantastic food, and welcoming staff. We have attended many of the entertainment/theme evenings, and can honestly say we have throughly enjoyed every one. It was because of this that we decided to hold our daughters' wedding reception here, and it was the most perfect day and evening that we could of wished for, so thankyou to all at the Horse and Groom for your tireless efforts in giving us that perfect day.. The Horse and Groom Public House is set in a small village of Cornish Hall End in north Essex. It has a welcoming atmosphere and it's a great place for everyone to get together. The restaurant offers a great choice of menu. Geoff and Kelly make a lot of effort to arrange theme nights and entertainment for all tastes. We had our wedding reception at the Horse and Groom and all I can say is Kelly, Geoff and all the staff really pulled out all the stops for us, we had a lovely meal!! I now live in Ireland and still miss going to the pub for their lovely meals. Gus & Marilyn Sheridan, Ireland

The Horse & Groom Public House, What can I say.........the food is fantastic, fresh produce, prepared & served to a very high standard, with a vast range of dishes always available. Their speciality nights are a treat not to be missed, the Mexican which I attended was an assault on the senses complete with sombreros & fake moustaches. The welcome you get at the groom is second to none and Kelly & Geoff are tireless in their approach to providing the perfect pub experience. The great food is complimented by an events and entertainment program which includes live music, comedy nights, bingo & much much more. I think the biggest compliment I could pay the Groom, is that I wish I lived nearer & so could participate more!   H.Gilder, Braintree
